NEW YORK STATE -- People New York State now have until February 1st to apply to the landowner incentive program for preserving grasslands.

According to the DEC, grasslands provide habitats for wildlife in our area, especially birds.

Those applying must own at least 25 acres of continuous grassland located in one of the focus areas across the state.
