POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Crews were back to work at City Hall in Poughkeepsie after a water main break shut the building down.
A set of steps had to be ripped out to find a crack in the water main about eight feet below ground.
Officials say the steps will not be rebuilt and the area will be made into a lawn.
Crews are putting in a repair clamp on the main and will install a new valve in the next couple of weeks.
The water will be turned on and all city workers will be back to work Thursday.
