NEW YORK CITY -- Doctors are optimistic that acclaimed jockey Ramon Dominguez will make a full recovery. That's according to his agent, who says Dominguez is undergoing more tests at a downstate hospital this weekend.

He suffered a slight skull fracture after he was thrown from his horse in the seventh race Friday at Aqueduct.

Dominguez led all riders on the NYRA circuit last year with 322 victories, and led the nation in earnings. He is a finalist to receive his third consecutive Eclipse Award in a ceremony at Gulfstream Park in Florida this evening.
