WALLKILL, N.Y. -- A Town of Walkill man is dead after a tree cutting accident.

Police say they responded to a call on Bloomingburg Road for reports of an injured person from a falling tree. It happened around 1:45 p.m. Saturday when Gregston Seeley, 42, was cutting down a tree.

Witnesses say the tree fell on top of him.

Seeley was transported to Orange Regional Medical Center where he died from his injuries.

Town of Walkill detectives are investigating the incident.
