Two sentenced on burglary charges

SULLIVAN COUNTY, N.Y. -- The last two members of a burglary ring have been sentenced in Sullivan County Court.

The County District Attorney's office says Elliot Hernandez, 19, was sentenced to seven years in state prison for his role in four home burglaries in the towns of Forestburgh and Thompson.

Officials say Freddys Mendoza, 17, has been sentenced to three-and-a-half years in prison for his role in a burglary at a home in the Town of Forestburgh.

Officials say Hernandez and Mendoza stole electronic devices, jewelry and money. The group burglarized ten homes in total.

The two are also sentenced to five years post release supervision.
