TARRYTOWN, N.Y. -- Community members will finally meet the design build team for the new Tappan Zee Bridge project. Tonight will be the first of two public meetings featuring members of the Tappan Zee Constructors.

Representatives from the New York State Thruway Authority and Governor Cuomo's office will also be on-hand.

Officials are encouraging public feedback tonight, something they say has been a key element of this entire process.

Governor Cuomo said, “The only way a project of this magnitude can be successful is if everyone involved has their voice heard. These meetings will be an incredibly useful tool in achieving this goal, for both the design-build team and the general public.”

Over the last 10 years, more than 400 public meetings have been held as part of the re-design process.

Tonight's meeting be held at the Westchester Marriot in Tarrytown and begins at 7 p.m. A second meeting is scheduled for tomorrow at Nyack High School.
