Police: Gloversville man fired shot near father, 11-year-old brother
GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. -- A Gloversville man was arrested after police said he fired a gunshot near his father and younger brother during a verbal altercation.

According to police, Lovell Armstrong, 22, was at his father's home on Grand Street where an argument broke out between the two men. Police said during the fight, Armstrong displayed a handgun and fired a shot in the direction of his father and 11-year-old brother.

Armstrong left the area with a female driver and returned to his residence on Clyde Street. They then continued on to Johnstown where they were stopped by officers there. The handgun was not located in the vehicle.

Armstrong was arrested and charged with first-degree menacing and first-degree reckless endangerment. He was arraigned and sent to the Fulton County Correctional Facility.

More arrests are pending, according to police.
