HUDSON VALLEY, N.Y. -- Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney weighs in on what he's expecting from the President's speech Tuesday night.

Maloney hopes the focus will be on the economy and job creation. To that end, the newly-elected congressman is co-sponsoring the "Made in America Manufacturing Act" with Senator Kirsten Gillibrand. He says keeping jobs in the U.S. is crucial.

"We've got to get our foot off the economy now. We've got to make sure we return growth. If we return a little bit of growth to this economy, it's going to do more to balance the budget and reduce the deficit than almost anything else we could do," Maloney said.

Maloney says Democrats need to work with Republicans to accomplish these goals.
He says the message he's heard from constituents is to stop fighting in Congress and get to work.
