THOMPSON, N.Y. -- A follow up now on the water woes for one Sullivan County neighborhood.
The state public service commission has officially appointed the Town of Thompson as the temporary water operator for the Melody Lakes neighborhood.
Back in December, White Knight Management, the water operator at that time, abandoned the aging water system prior to receiving approval from the state.
Residents complained of inconsistent water outages, in addition to sporadic leaks.
The agreement means all of the town's demands were met.
The water system in Melody Lakes currently serves more than 50 homes.
