ULSTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- A stretch of highway in Ulster County could soon become a tribute to Rock'n'Roll Hall of Famer Levon Helm.
Helm made his home in Woodstock for more than 40 years.
State Assemblyman Kevin Cahill is proposing legislation that Route 375 from Route 28 in West Hurley to Route 212 in Woodstock be named Levon Helm Memorial Boulevard.
An original member of 'The Band,' Helm died last April, after a long battle with throat cancer. He was 71 years old.
