DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- A teenager was killed in an ATV crash in Dutchess County.

Sheriff’s deputies say Joseph Christiano, 15, was riding an ATV at 24 Indian Pass in the Town of Beekman at around 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Deputies say the teen went around a bend, was thrown from the vehicle and hit a tree. He was taken to St. Francis Hospital, where he died.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, but police say he may have been going too fast.
