ALBANY, N.Y. -- An Albany elementary school principal has been placed on leave.

According to School District Spokesperson Ron Lesko, Gregory Jones of New Scotland Elementary School is on administrative leave until further notice.

Lesko wouldn't say why Jones was suspended, saying it is a personal matter.

Beverly Ivey will serve as principal while Jones is on leave. She currently serves as the professional development coordinator.
