SOUTH GLENS FALLS, N.Y. -- Hundreds at South Glens Falls High School are dancing their feet off for Charity. This weekend is the 36th Marathon Dance.
Over the years, the marathon has raised over $3 million for more than 200 causes. Some of the beneficiaries of this year's event include Bailey Wind and Matt Hardy, the two teens who were seriously injured in a crash on the Northway back in December.
The event's coordinator said with all the bad news involving teens, it's good to get the word out about something positive.
"I'm proud to see what kids can do. There's so much negative in the world. So, when you see these kids come together, there's nothing better,” said Jodie Sheldon, Event Coordinator.
At the end of this month, the SHMD Travel Team will be returning to Richmond, Virginia for the 6th Annual Deep Run Marathon Dance. The dance ends at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, and the school actually has a stream online. So, people at home can watch it LIVE, from their computers.
